Past Caring

I am grown past caring

Past sharing

Past daring

To put my soul on line

Where resistance begins

And receptivity ends

As an impenetrable wall

Unyielding to all

Transgressions

Yet utterly without foundation

.

Influence remains as life passes

There is so much Joy in my life, work and art

And sadness

She was and is my elder sister

She knew me in those desperate years

When life to come was forming

Until maid Marion came along

To gather up the bundle

.

Hindsight is blind to all that swirls

Dismissing these as deviations

Around its extrapolated line of best fit

Sent like an arrow

Between now and then

.

Void never forgets or dismisses

She lingers in memory, not oblivion

Imprinting all that is to come

Within what’s been

Shaped by and shaping

As she calls and recalls

All life into current

Around and between

Centres of love

0

.

Receptive to all

Transgressions

Softly suffusing all foundations

She holds in store

What is vital for life

To be and become

As it ebbs and flows

.

Whether the master of clockwork

Realises it or not

As he muddles material force

With immaterial influence

By viewing within from without

And turning the world

Inside out

.
